We took our rv for service to wayland.They did not tell us they were going to disconnect the batteries.
Once they did the frig and freezer defrosted and everything inside melted into a mess including meat, dairy, etc. The wet mess ran down the inside of the casework and warped the woodwork much worse that it already was being serviced for. Even after they knew there was a leakage issue affecting the casework steming from the frig, freezer, they left eveything in the unit to melt and ferment over a two week period. When confronted with the situation, they acted like it was our fault for not knowing that they would be shutting off the power to the frig once we left it there.
The frig is set up to run from propane so the damage would not have happened had they not turned off the power. They said they would contact us with casework repair parts and we have not heard from them now for four months. We will never allow general rv to touch our rv again. We have had nothing but problems from their service department management over the past few visits.
The service manager told us things were done such as the propane being filled three times now when it was never touched.
I have no confidence in their service management.They have taken on more than they can handle and are incompetent.
This person wrote the review because of poor customer service at General Rv Center. Reviewer claimed that he or she lost $500 and wants General Rv Center to issue a full refund.
The most disappointing in user's experience was poor communication from service manager. The author asks this business to immediately contact him/ her to briefly discuss his/ her negative experience with the company.
